For years, “where do our leads come from” had two answers: search engines and social media. That list just got a third entry — and it’s growing fast.

We’re now seeing something our clients didn’t expect: real, converting visitors arriving on their websites directly from AI platforms like ChatGPT. Not just browsing. Filling out forms. Submitting inquiries.

On one client's site, we tracked a visitor whose first-ever touchpoint was chatgpt.com — no ad, no search click. They landed, started a form, and submitted it. One session, one lead, sourced entirely by an AI recommendation.

Why this is happening

People are asking AI tools the questions they used to type into Google — “who installs solar near me,” “best balloon decorator in Manhattan.” When your site is structured and written in a way AI models trust, they cite you. That citation becomes a click. That click becomes a lead.

What we’re doing about it

At The UI Studio, we build sites and content that rank with traditional search engines and get surfaced by AI platforms — for solar and renewable energy brands like Green Electric Solutions, and décor businesses like Balloons To Go NYC. Both are now pulling in inbound leads from channels that didn’t exist as lead sources a year ago.

Search engines. Social platforms. AI platforms. Your website should be working all three — not just the one you can see in your old analytics dashboard.
